Part-Time Youth Pastor

Cornerstone Fellowship Church, located in Englewood, NJ, is seeking an energetic part-time Youth Pastor for our 147 Youth ministry. The ideal candidate is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus Christ with students and their families in a team-oriented environment.

The Youth Pastor will report to the 147 Education Director and assist in all aspects of Sunday school and youth ministry, including programming, volunteer training, and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shepherd and teach students.
• Train and guide volunteer teachers.
• Direct weekly youth worship and special annual education events.
• Teach and preach during the Friday Night Youth Program and Sunday Youth Services.
• Plan, lead, and organize special events such as Easter, Christmas, bi-annual retreats, summer mission trips, and community service opportunities.
• Conduct weekly home visitations with students and families to offer discipleship, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
• Collaborate with other church staff to fulfill the church's mission.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Assist in guiding ministry transitions.
• Communicate and delegate service opportunities to the church community.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Christian Education, Ministry, or a related field.
• Seminary: Graduate or current student of an accredited seminary.
• Ordination: Pursuing ordination is preferred.
• Bilingual: Proficiency in both Korean and English is preferred.
• Experience: Experience in children's and/or youth ministry or similar qualifying work experience.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively administer Youth Ministry.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with volunteers, parents, and students.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient with media and digital platforms.
• Passion: A genuine love for youth and a belief in discipling the next generation.

Compensation:

• Salary: Starting at $21,600 per year ($1,800/month).
• Benefits: Professional expense budget or education stipend for those still in school.
